Davie Auto Repair serves Lauderdale Lakes from its shop at 4701 Orange Dr Bay 10 in Davie, about 6.8 miles away, and carries a 4.7-star rating across 79 reviews. Call ahead and describe the symptom along with your vehicle's make and model so the call can be scheduled properly.
Lauderdale Lakes sits close enough to Davie that a routine repair doesn't have to eat your whole afternoon — the drive in is 6.8 miles, short enough to treat like any other appointment on the calendar. Lauderhill and Plantation border the area, so if a shop near one of those names has let you down before, this one is a comparable drive in the other direction.
Booking ahead matters more than proximity does. Describe the noise, the warning light, or the symptom when you call, and give the shop your vehicle's year and mileage — that detail is what helps whoever answers the phone figure out how soon you need to come in.
Is the drive from Lauderdale Lakes worth it?
6.8 miles is a commute, not a trip. If the car is drivable and the issue isn't urgent, treat the visit like any other errand and schedule it around Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sat 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, closed Sun.
If the issue showed up suddenly — a warning light, a grinding sound, fluid under the car — don't wait for a convenient day. Ask whether the shop can look at it same week, and mention the symptom on the phone so whoever answers can judge how soon to get you in.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the quote covers diagnostic time separately from the repair, and whether the parts are OEM or aftermarket — that's the line item that swings an estimate the most. A shop that answers both without hedging is one that prices honestly.
- Get the estimate in writing before any teardown starts
- Ask what the warranty covers if the same part fails again within a few months
How far is Lauderdale Lakes from the shop?
6.8 miles, which puts it well within a normal trip. Fuel and traffic aside, there's nothing about the distance that should change how you plan the visit.
What are the shop's hours?
Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sat 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, closed Sun. Call ahead to confirm there's a bay open for your vehicle before you drive over.
Does the shop serve areas near Lauderhill and Plantation too?
Yes — Lauderdale Lakes sits between those two, and all three fall inside the service area. The same scheduling advice applies regardless of which side of the boundary you're on.
What if I can't drive the car in?
Call first and describe why it won't move. Ask whether the shop can recommend a tow rather than guessing on your own.
